Coconino National Forest – Home

The Coconino National Forest is one of the most diverse National Forests in the country with landscapes ranging from the famous red rocks of Sedona to Ponderosa pine forests, from southwestern desert to alpine tundra. Explore mountains and canyons, fish in small lakes, and wade in lazy creeks and streams.

Dixie National Forest – Home

Following the successful captive breeding of boreal toad at Denver Zoo last year, just under 500 captive bred toads were released June 16, 2020 into their native range on the Paunsaugunt Plateau in the Powell Ranger District of the Dixie National Forest.

Fishlake National Forest – Home

The Fishlake National Forest in central Utah features majestic stands of aspen encircling open mountain meadows that are lush with a diverse community of forbs and grasses. Fish Lake, from which the forest takes its name, is considered by many to be the gem of Utah.

Gila National Forest – Home

The Gila is 3.3 million acres of forested hills, majestic mountains and range land. It is probably best known for its wilderness areas, in particular the Gila Wilderness – the first wilderness in the United States. The magnificent mountain scenery, cool summer temperatures and relatively warm winters permit a wide range of recreational opportunities during all seasons.

Kaibab National Forest – Home

The Kaibab National Forest will offer firewood cutting permits for the 2020 season over the phone beginning May 1. Cutting may begin as soon as permits have been received through the mail. The deep sandstone canyons, mountaintops, meadows, lakes, and streams of the Manti-La Sal National Forest create a diverse landscape. From the Abajos and La Sals in southeastern Utah to the Wasatch Plateau and Sanpitch mountains hundreds of miles away in central Utah, the Forest is a welcome retreat.

Prescott National Forest – Home
