JOIN US FOR THE 17TH ANNUAL AMERICAN INDIAN

TOURISM CONFERENCE, September 13-17, 2015

The 17th annual American Indian Tourism Conference (AITC), will be held September 13-17, 2015, hosted by the Southern Ute Indian Tribe at the Sky Ute Casino Resort in Ignacio, Colorado.

Every year AITC brings an outstanding lineup of tourism industry leaders, expert speakers and presenters to the conference to inspire tribal professionals with trends, technology and opportunities in the global travel industry.

This unique conference presents training that encourages management practices that foster sustainable travel, tourism and recreation while protecting natural, environmental, historic and cultural resources.

AITC brings a spotlight to travel in Indian Country. Each conference features mobile workshops and tours showcasing local tourism. One of the conference's highlights is the AITC awards banquet recognizing outstanding tribal destinations, programs and professionals.

Call for Exhibitors & Artisans

As every tourism director in Indian Country knows, arts and artists are an integral part of tourism. The 2015 American Indian Tourism Conference is giving a special emphasis on art created by Native Peoples with a special Art Market featuring works made by American Indian artists. One of the highlights of a visitor's experience is finding a treasure to take home. Whether it is a beautifully burnished pot, intricately woven basket or exquisitely designed piece of jewelry, it is a reminder of their experience and a story they can share with their friends and families.

AIANTA encourages collaboration with public lands agencies, states and travel, tourism and recreation industries through its targeted audience. Share your program or products with our industry at the trade show. Artisan booth fees are only $150, other exhibitor booths are $750. For more information, contact Gail Chehak at gchehak@aianta.org or call 505.243.3633.

The American Indian Tourism conference could not happen without the support of our sponsors and exhibitors. If you are interested in sponsoring, please contact Gail Chehak, our AIANTA Membership and Development Coordinator.
