Grand Circle Itinerary – Phoenix to Salt Lake – 7 Day
Day One: Arrive Phoenix Airport and transfer to Scottsdale Hotel. Evening to enjoy Scottsdale’s shops and galleries.
Day Two: Depart Phoenix/Scottsdale and tour through the Sonoran Desertto Montezuma Castle National Monument. Walking tour of Monument,then to Sedona red rock country.
Enjoy a Pink Jeep Tour into the Red Rock backcountry. Continuing the adventure up scenic Oak Creek Canyon to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy an orientation at the Canyon rim then a stop at the Canyon View Information Plaza. Check into the a Grand Canyon hotel
Day Three: A 23-mile rim tour this morning stopping to learn about the Canyon. Next stop is on the Navajo Reservation at historic Cameron Trading Post. Then travel to Monument Valley. Late afternoon Navajo guided jeep tour into Monument Valley. Overnight Kayenta, AZ
Day Four: Tour to Four Corners Monument. Enjoy the Day in Mesa Verde National Monument. Overnight at Durango, Colorado.
Day Five: Board the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and travel back in history. Travel the Narrow Gauge thru Animas River Canyon to Silverton. Next tour the “Million Dollar” highway to Ouray, Colorado. Travel through the San Juan and the Manti La Sal Mountains to Moab, Utah. Overnight in Moab
Day Six: Enjoy Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, Islands in the Sky district. Overnight Moab, Utah
Day Seven: This morning tour through the San Rafael Reef, crossing the Green River and the Uinta National Forest to Salt Lake City, Utah
This itinerary may be reversed with Day One beginning in Salt Lake City, Utah and Day Seven ending in Phoenix.
Additions of hiking, mountain biking, jeeping, scenic helicopter flights, horseback riding, river rafting (both smooth and white water), Native American experiences may be added to some of the days to make the itinerary more adventurous. Only your imagination will be your limitation.
