Day Three: Travel to Moab, Utah

Take a tour of Arches National Park, famous for it’s Delicate Arch, and Balanced Rock. The arches and numerous other extraordinary geologic features, such as spires, pinnacles, pedestals and balanced rocks, are highlighted in striking foreground and background views created by contrasting colors, landforms and textures.  In some areas, faulting has exposed millions of years of geologic history. Day Four: Travel to Cortez, Colorado

Take an early morning tour of Mesa Verde National Park, a World Heritage Site, known internationally for the fabulous cliff dwellings. Though long familiar to Mesa Verde's native inhabitants, the cliff dwellings were brought to the world’s attention after being noticed by European-Americans in the late 1800's. Day Five: Travel to Durango, Colorado

In the 1880s a narrow rail line was strung along the Animas River, a twisting river gorge, to connect Silverton and Durango. Hop a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, or explore the Animas River on a rafting trip, try hiking, biking or skiing.

Day Six: Travel to Montrose, Colorado

Driving from Durango to Montrose is pure WOW.  You will pass through the scenic mining town of Ouray, called the Switzerland of America.  The Million Dollar Highway between Ouray and Silverton is one of the most scenic and spectacular mountain drives in North America. Once in Montrose, visit Black Canyon National Park, Ute Indian Museum, take a hike or go biking in the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy the scenery!
