Durango CO
There are a large amount of group activities that can be done around the holidays. Dog sledding, sleigh rides, snowmobiles, and other winter activities are always available. I can give you the descriptions and contact information for those if you would like.

For Christmas events, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad presents The Polar Express during the holiday months, but tickets sell out quickly as it is a big visitor driver for us.

The Polar Express
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is one of D&SNGRR's premier annual events.  Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away.  Once on board, guests enjoy hot chocolate and holiday treats as they read the classic children's book along with the characters.  At the North Pole, Santa Claus and his helpers greet all passengers, and then boards the train to give each child their first gift of Christmas- a silver sleigh bell.  Chefs in each car lead passengers in singing Christmas carols on the ride back to Durango.
Location: 479 Main Ave, Durango, CO 81301
Jaime Ferry: jferry@durangotrain.com

We also have events throughout the Holiday season. Events like Noel Night (a time for locals to shop locally and have their gifts wrapped specially with live music and hot chocolate flowing through town), the 45th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival, and The Nutcracker Ballet.
