Cathedral Gorge State Park

E-mail Print PDF

Cathedral Gorge State Park is known for its carved, dramatic cliffs and canyons, remnants of a Pliocene-era lakebed. Visitors from around the world enjoy hiking trails for exploring the cave-like formations and cathedral-like spires. Miller Point, a scenic overlook, offers excellent views of the scenic canyon. Hiking, picnicking, camping, nature study, photography and ranger programs are the most common activities at the park. Facilities include a 24-unit campground, a RV dump station, restrooms with showers, a group use area and a day-use picnic area, which are open all year. Cathedral Gorge is 165 miles northeast of Las Vegas, via Interstate 15 North, and U.S. Highway 93.
