The Grand Circle has a new national monument, called Bears Ears, designated in late Dec, 2016. It is located in southwestern Utah and includes some 1.35 million acres of land. It is a world class destination for hikers and backpackers and shelters many significant archaeological sites.
We've now added this new page on Bears Ears to this website. It is offered as a quick attempt to provide travelers with information on the new monument.
The photo below offers a taste of the ancient Native American sites found in this area. It shows the "Citidel Ruin," in Road Canyon. The photo is by Dave Webb.
