Carson National Forest Minimize

Wheeler Peak - Photo courtesy of Mike StaufferThe Carson is one of five national parks in New Mexico, four of which are in the Grand Circle.  The highest mountain in New Mexico, Wheeler Peak at 13,161 feet, is in the Carson, just north of Taos.  World-class downhill skiing is available in the Carson, at the Taos Ski Valley.
